Busso Tasting

A tasting with two esteemed colleagues to taste samples of Busso wines. Two of them (in partly other vintages) bought locally at Piero Busso and new safely in celler for the next years.

• 2009 Piero Busso Barbaresco Albesani Vigna Borgese 93 Points

  Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barbaresco

  Wonderful nose, fresh round tannins, dark cherries, viols and a hint of licorice. Beautiful, soft and elegant. This is going to be magnificent.

  Nose of berries and stones. Medium tannins. Light, fruity and charming wine.

• 2006 Piero Busso Barbaresco S. Stefanetto San Stunet 93 Points

  Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barbaresco

  Clear brick/brownish colour. Aromatic, cedar, berries in the nose. Full bodied with lots of soft tannins. Long delicious and complex aftertaste. Very elegant and powerful wine.

• 2012 Piero Busso Barbaresco San Stunet 89 Points

  Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barbaresco

  Deep ruby colour. Aromatic with dark berries and green leaves. Dry, medium bodied. Opens quite a lot in glass. Fresh, fruity wine with palate of dark berries og a touch of vanilla.
