Great shop just off the mall, selling only Santa Cruz wine. They have a tasting flight too.
Flight 2 - Burrell School (9 Notes)
This was my favorite winery that I visited this day. Didn't love everything, but overall the wine showed restraint, balance and good grip. Nice place set in an old schoolhouse.

2010 Burrell School Cabernet Sauvignon Old School

Red cherry with smoky oak, cedar, juicy tannins, tame acid. A fruit forward wine with a little sweetness but not too much. Light bodied, a bit of licorice. Juicy, chewy and a bit wild.

Flight 4 - Wrights Station (5 Notes)
A brand new (6 week old) winery serving their first vintage. I liked the style of the chardonnay. I think the wine from Wrights Station will improve as the winemaker learns his vineyard. Nice tasting room.
