Disgorged Dec.2013. Toast, light yeastiness (quite unusual, as I usually associate it with champagne), hazelnuts, even curry notes on the nose. Medium plus body, on a more rustic, heavy style, some minerality and creaminess on the palate. Some mild bitterness on the finish. With air there grew an aroma of old white wine, which was peculiar for such a young bottle, may be it was very slightly affected by TCA. (B/B-)
Flowery nose, green apple, obvious minerality, a restrained, subtle style. Mild creamy texture, lemons on the palate. Citrus bitterness on the finish, seemed sharp at times. This was widely prefered to 2008 Agusti Torello Mata GR.
What an interesting and enticing nose right from the start! Fennel, some intense dried peppermint greenness, very high minerality already on the nose. New oak on the palate, mild bitterness, creamy. Nose improves with air, there develop some cotton candy nuances. Very long finish. This was very good, on of the best wines for the evening. (A-)
Green hues. Greeny-hernal nose, herbs, also sweat and barberry on the nose. Quite intense and zippy. This typical bitterness on Spanish whites on the finish. (B)
Golden yellow. Interesting nose, sweet and sour, some oak, butter and lime, honey, vanilla, pickle juice (which was strange as it is held in French, not American oak). Quite rustic in the beginning, but develops nicely. I remember that I liked 2007 more, but I will surely revisit this wine. (B)
Amber yellow. Oxidative nose that reminds me of Vin Jaune, there is same curry and fenugreek notes. Very high accidity, definetely a food wine, but I would forget about this for some 5 years minumum, the accidity must back off for it to be more enjoyable. Love it or hate it wine, but this shoving was not the best. Drink slowly.
Syrup made of liquid raisins, coffee, prunes, brown sugar, very, very sweet, but there is some accidity. Doubt one can drink more than a glass of it, but it is good in the end of the meal by the fireplace. An autumn, winter wine. (B+)
