Tasted next to the Impulsivo from Cayuse that is also made from Tempranillo grapes from the En Chamberlin vineyard. This one was clearly beaten by the Impulsivo, no question! It is still a good wine though!
Lots of olives, terroir, come of the cauyse funk, but lacking the punch and depth needed to balance out these notes. Still a good wine, but I'd rather drink it on its own!
Licorice, tobacco, medium weight in the palate, very intense acidity, which is quite typical for Tuscany. Not bad but not too excited about this. I'm considering selling my remaining bottles of this.
Herbs, curry, classical central coast notes in the nose, licorice, and on the elegant side for now for a SQN shiraz, but this is due to the cool year and it will add weight with some more time in the bottle. SQN nearly always delivers...
Quince, apricots, forest honey, nice and well integrated acidity, great balance. This wine is fantastic.
That a Riesling-x-Silvaner (Which is the Swiss local name for Müller-Thurgau) can be so vibrant and fresh with such a nice acidity after 12 years is amazing!
Beeswax, creme brulee, some plastic, enormous acidity, giving away that this must be an icewine, slightly disjointed with the acidity dominating the entire wine.
After a while in the decanter and a higher temperature, this baby developed nicely and integrated the acidity much better. Gaing score to 90-91. So do decant and don't drink it too cold.

Forrest berries, cherries, black and green olives, very elegant with lots of terroir and minerals. Absolute classical Cayuse. NICE!
