France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
Another very impressive bottle. Wonderfully open nose of dark fruit, spice and some earthy mushroom notes. Very smooth, round and fresh in the mouth, yet mature.
Forward and full nose of dark fruit, dark chocolate, some earth and cassis. This all carried through to the palate that was rich and round, almost modern. Plenty of depth and while this is drinking well right now, it will evolve. Nice surprise.
From a perfect looking bottle with a fill almost up to the cork. Outstanding nose of earth, dark fruit, herbs, subtle green pepper. Beautifully silky Pichon texture. Fully mature and round in the mouth. Great smooth finish. Perfect time to drink this wine.
Dark fruit and coffee on the nose. Round, plush and wonderfully balanced in the mouth. I don't know what it is, but I always get this burnt rubber note with LB and this was no exception.

Very similar to the bottle earlier this year. The oak was a bit more noticeable.
