Very, very light colour. Typical happy vermentino nose, mild herbal-flowery as well as pleasant salinity to it. Crunchy, hard candy, pleasant bitterness on the finish. Easy drinking, reminds me of a SB but more steely and less herbal. (B-)
PnP. Clear, ruby-violet colour. The nose starts with dusty and dirty aromas, also strong aromas of charcoal, cherries somewhere deep in the background. Unpleasant, edgy finish. After a while some peppermint and summer meadow aromas appear in the glass. Give it ample time or aerate it, it gratly improves with air. (C+)
PnP. Darker, more brown than a 2011. Marinade, chemical notes on the nose as well as some cherries and fruitiness. Full taste of dark berries on the palate. Bitter finish that reminds me of medicine pills. Not particularly interesting, nothing much happening here. (B-)
Darker than non-riservas. Obviously riper and probably better grapes. Fuller bodied, sweeter nose of wormwood, some interesting notes of dried herbs and medicine pills. Palate doesn't live up to the nose, quite one dimensional. Round, soft vanilla, but overall lacking depth on the palate. A smell of rubber develops with air. (B)
Beautiful, rich colour. Charcoal and pronounced smokiness, smoked meat on the nose, may be some tobacco and notes of black chokeberries. Dry finish, alcohol shows itself sharply in the throat. (B/B+)
PnP (should have decanted!) Rich, beautiful colour. Nose closed in the beginning - oak, blended dark fruits, some plum, also ash. International style wine. On the palate there were same dark fruits and vanilla. Finish a bit sharp and edgy. Doubt that this is a good QPR. (B/B+)
PnP (must have decanted!) Vanilla cookies on the nose. Medium+ accidity. Everything already integrated, good composure. With time some pleasant barnyard and smoked meat tones develop in the glass. Balanced, soft, integrated, very good. (B+)
