Blind - guessed something from RRV.
Looking at the color I thought this might be toast, not a chance. Deep, gold, almost amber. Great body, medium plus weight. There's enough acid to balance the fruit and beefiness of this wine. i wrote the word "full" which describes all facets. Bright fruit and almond nuttiness. I could drink this all day.
Blind - guess Arcadian. Very dark garnet, pushing purple tones but good clarity. Nose is a bit spicy which had me leaning towards arcadian. Clean cherry and red fruit flavors with a strong herb note. Backend shows some oak, a little charred. Medium finish.
Blind. - guessed Rhys Alpine. No seriously, stop laughing. Stuck my nose in the glass and thought "hey, I'm going to like this" and then I took a sip and immediately had a flashback to a few years ago when I tasted the swan terrace. That was the best PN I've had and this is right there with it. I like the tart cranberry and tart cherry, medium plus acidty, some mineral in the form of chalk and sour fruit and pepper ending. Love it.

Blind. No idea for a guess. Very dark, as all the 2007 seem to be. I got more red fruit and red apple but the most significant aspect was the strong aroma of fresh cut cedar and a bit of eucalypts oil flavor. Bright flavor and gentle mouthfeel.
Blind. I guessed Kosta Brown and every one of the Copainhead got the producer correct. The reason I guessed KB was the nose, I got a bit of maple syrup or molasses and then the mouthfeel has a bit of creaminess to it. Got some mild stem at the finish. This was 3 others WOTN, fair enough.
Blind. I guessed a burg. Yeah, it was a california 2007 tasting but you're not going to pull one over my head! Wrong.
I was thinking burg because the nose, some thought it was off, I just thought it was a burgundy. LOL Light cranberry color and cloudy. Cherry fruit and light mouthfeel.
WTF? This has only been in the bottle for a few days? Excellent wine! Very dark color; good gaminess and fur. Plum and spice mid palate. Medium plus tannic presence for mourvedre. Winemaker must be a magician.

2007 Copain Pinot Noir "En Haut" Kiser 91 Points
