  • 2013 Ramos Pinto Douro Duas Quintas Branco

    Portugal, Douro

    Intriguing mixed but probably something like 50% Rabigato, 30% Arinto y 20% Viozinho.
    Initially astringent both, nose and mouth. Sight aromas of banana and hay.
    Acid, bitter with a good length.
    Yours if you like anti-acid pills...

    Inicialmente astringente incluso en nariz. Débiles aromas a plátano y hierba recién segada.
    Ácida, amarga y de buen recorrido.

  • 2012 Ramos Pinto Douro Duas Quintas

    Portugal, Douro

    A rustic compote, without elegant, madurity either. Too much young in colour with a oaky palate.
    Of course we've to wait but don't give it hopes.

    Una compota vasta, sin elegancia ni madurez. Muy joven en color y en boca madera a tutiplén.
    Hay que esperar pero no tengas muchas esperanzas.

  • NV Ramos Pinto Porto Lágrima

    Portugal, Douro, Porto

    Sweet wine. Sightly aromas of dried apricots, still memories of 'flor', quite steely and mineral on the nose.
    Palate is full of echoes of white fruit like pears.
    Rich, alcoholic but I don't think it can match in the world maker of sweet wines.

    Vino dulce. Leves aromas a orejones, todavía recuerdos a la flor, bastante acerado y mineral en nariz.
    En boca ecos a fruta blanca tipo pera.
    Rico, alcohólica pero no para combatir en el mercado internacional.

  • NV Ramos Pinto Porto Fine Ruby

    That portuguese carob...that black chocolate and confiture.
    Creamy on the palate but a really very short pass.
    A 2nd Nieeport was remembered.

    Esa algarroba portuguesa...ese chocolate negro y confitura.
    Cremosidad en boca pero muy muy corta.
    Me recuerda a un 2nd de Nieeport.

  • 2009 Ramos Pinto Porto Late Bottled Vintage

    Concentrated, very perfumed, appetising even. Coffee pastry, one of those very sweet.
    Dense in the mouth but by disgrace very short. Perhaps it can age.
    Even more can get some elegance. Let's see.

    Concentrado, muy perfumado, goloso incluso. Pastel de café muy dulce.
    En boca se muestra denso pero muy corto. Quizás pueda envejecer. Hasta podría alcanzar cierta elegancia.

  • 2004 Ramos Pinto Porto Vintage Quinta de Ervamoira

    Hey, not bad at all on the nose. Certainly evolved for these ten years. Smelling like black olives. Hard palate but appetising.
    Chocolatey. I really liki this Quinta.

    No está mal del todo en nariz. Cierta evolución a los diez años. Olores a aceituna negra muy marcados. Duro en boca pero apetecible. Achocolatado. Me gusta esta quinta.

  • 2011 Ramos Pinto Porto Vintage

    Very closed on the nose. Offering very elegant sweet aromas.
    Really impressing cause it was evolved on the palate.
    If can resist the pass if time, it can be a very very good one.

    Muy cerrada en nariz. Ofrece aromas dulces muy elegantes.
    Impresionantemente evolucionada en boca. Si aguanta, puede ser muy muy buena.

    Quite simple and alcoholic. A little unbalanced.
    Offering fruit on the palate but again every element is running by its own.

    Simplota y alcohólica. Un poquito desequilibrada.
    La boca ofrece fruta pero de nuevo sin equilibrio.

  • NV Ramos Pinto Porto 10 Year Old Tawny Quinta de Ervamoira

    Alcoholic nose. Needs time to dissipate. Figs pastries.
    Otherwise on the palate showed really open with notes of nuts and orange peel. This is not a long as many pretend anyway.

    Alcohólica en nariz. Necesita tiempo para disiparse. Higos en pastelería.
    En cambio la boca se muestra abierta con esos toques a frutos secos y cáscara de naranja. No tan largo como algunos pretenden.

  • NV Ramos Pinto Porto 20 Year Old Tawny Quinta do Bom Retiro

    More balanced than tawny 10 yo. Nose is a liar because us offering fruit pastries when it is clearly more complex. Needs time and some air. Nothing disturbing anyway.
    Where this is really impressive is on the palate, an iron fist in a silk glove.
    Extremely long, tasty, persistent, very deep.
    Worths every penny. Congratulations.

    Más equilibrado. La nariz engaña porque ofrece fruta en pastel cuando tiene una profundidad tremenda. Sin nada que realmente moleste. Necesita algo de tiempo y aire.
    Donde impresiona es en boca, puño de hierro en guante de seda.
    Extremadamente larga, sabrosa, persistente, con profundidad.
    Merece la pena buscar una botella de esto. Felicidades.
