Expressive nose, leather and tar, earth and roses, deep and powdery, good fruit; attractive and energetic palate, slender and classical style, silky attack, lovely tannic grip. There is considerable bottle variation with this wine - this was a very good one.

Fabulous nose, lush Merlot kirsch and peppery Cabernet Franc, warmth, toast and lovely depth; good ripe attack, but disjointed on the palate, drying and lacking weight and persistence; bitters on the finish, relatively short for Figeac. Hard to rate, hence a non-committal score.

Mature and gravelly nose, fragrant, pure blackcurrant, Merlot warmth; elegant and harmonious palate, silky on the palate but dries up on the finish, tea-like and with a vegetal note; good length. Second bottle a little rounder. Fully mature.
