typical Martinborough PN. medium/light ruby, even and clear. fresh strawberry and red cherry nose. fresh red fruits and fresh acidity (a little lean), some French oak touching, well balanced. medium/light bodied, smooth texture. fine and concentrated core and linear palate. very accessible one, well crafted and delicious.
Alc 13.5%, TA 6.55 g/L, pH 3.68, RS 1.0 g/L. French Oak barrels – 13% new, 25% 1 year old, 62% 2- 5 years old.
dark garnet. dark fruits, good varietal characters. some fruity sweetness, ripe tannins. some greenish herbal notes, a little stem bitterness in finish. entry level Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (DOC), quite simple and rough one.
deep ruby, with dark core and a little brick hue rim. ripe dark berries nose, rich palate, full bodied, firm and heavy tannins. some violet and herbal notes. Alc 14%, good weight and big structure with some complexity, long finish with some oak and cream hints. not mellowed perfectly, still young, need time, amazing vintage 2010.
left it in decanter for 15 min to calm down. dark garnet, inky purple hue. intense ripe dark fruits. creamy and sweet, reasonably balanced, huge weight and power, 14.5% alc, chewy tannins. heavy, enjoyable but not complex.
