A blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, 3 years sur lattes, base vintage 2010, 20% vin de réserve. Lovely balance, ripe fruit, fresh and attractive, good style.
Three years sur lattes. Indeed expressive of (100%) Pinot Noir, plush fruit, a good apiritif but today seems to lack the balance and freshness of the Grande Réserve.
A blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, 5 years sur lattes, base vintage 2008, 35% oak aged vin de réserve. Vinous but elegant style, oak noticable, hint of nuts, good complexity.
An equal blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir; 10% of the latter is vinified as red wine and blended in, 5 years sur lattes, dosage 7 gr/l. Pale copper; slightly yeasty palate, the oak ageing of the red is noticeable, precise and linear, mineral. A restrained rosé.
The grapes were 100% destemmed, vines high on the slope, lots of limestone. Very pure style, benefits from the ripe fruit to allow a firm structure, muscular and masculine, high quality oak, needs time. Drink 2017-2029.
30% whole-cluster. More feminine and fruit-driven than the Bressandes, good structure but not as powerful as the one before, floral and sunny, lovely flavours and length.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru
Good purity and typicity, nice Savigny sauvage, light and floral (even if 100% destemmed; it's the character of the vineyard, according to David Croix), attractive but a bit tight right now.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
Light and pleasing for Vaucrains but no lack of structure, the hint of dryness may be caused by a hint of TCA (but below the sensory threshold) (89); second bottle cleaner and fresher (90).
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru
Really speaks right now and really speaks of Chambertin, good ripeness, complex and masculine, has generosity and is devoid of any greenness; grand vin, excellent right now.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Exemplary. Pure and clean, ripe fruit, hint of earth, subtle oak, savoury note, harmonious and fresh, elegant and stylish, floral and fragrant. A delicious wine to drink soon.
Still very primary with just a hint of evolution, powerful and tannic, perfectly integrated oak, deep and rich, mineral, fresh and long. Still has everything.
Field blend from the oldest vines in the Quinta. Harmonious, rich and tannic, great fruit, deep and velvety, not as clean or precise as the "normal" 2011, but richer and deeper.

2011 Staete Landt Riesling Dry Rudi 88 Points

Aged in small older oak barrels, natural cork. Not unlike a Riesling from Clare Valley, quite a tight style with crisp acidity, not too much petrol.
