Osteria dell'Arco, Alba

This is our 5th day of the Toscan-Piemonte wine tour.
Just came to rainy Alba, after a long drive from Suvereto, west Toscany, including a lunch stop at the romantic Portovenere.
All 8 of us (Adina, Hanan, Mati, Eli, Yair, Igal, Yoav & myself) were a bit tired, but upon arriving to the lovely Osteria dell'Arco (excellent restaurant) we woke up.
the dinner was great. the wines were superb. each one of them.
this is how we should enjoy them: when they're mature and uncorked in advance.
2001 Castello del Terriccio Lupicaia 93 Points
Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT
uncorked 24 hours in advance
dark opaque black colour
rich dark fruits & herbal-spicy aroma & flavours, with liquorice & smoky notes
full bodied, smooth round integrated tannins, good acidity level, chocolate & coffee flavours, thick & powerful, medium length finish.
at its best now.
