Nice wine with lemon, stones, toast, earth and a medium, buttery finish. Should drink well for five years.

Last bottle and probably one of the best. Very easy drinking and smooth with minerals, raspberries, spice and earth. Medium finish. Drinking window is perfect now as I would not wait.

Outstanding subtle, Old School CDP. Drank two pours over the night. Game, raspberries, truffles, subtle wood and elegant. Plenty of flavor with finesse. Where this is at right now I would advise drink up.

2000 Clos des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape 90 Points

Certainly not a great vintage of Clos des Papes and pale in comparison to the amazing 01. Earth, underbrush, roasted meats, spice and floral notes. Medium finish but not as balanced as I would expect from a 2000. Too many others that are better from the vintage.

2005 Domaine Pierre Usseglio & Fils Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée de mon Aïeul 94 Points

94 plus. Excellent wine with great perfumed nose of spice, strawberry, minerals and wood. On the palate picks up some floral notes. Medium to long finish and this has a LONG life ahead. One of my favorite Domaines did not disappoint.

Wow! Top ten of the year wine. Funk, blueberries, blackberries, earth Garrique, stones and dust. The palate picks up tar and is concentrated. This is one of the best CDPs I have had in years. Need to get more.

Just not showing well tonight and could be an off bottle. Raspberries, blue fruits and cedar. Medium finish and lacks the power of the previous time tasted. Bottle variation is real.
