Lufthansa First Class YYZ-MUC

I had the pleasure of flying Lufthansa First Class, yet again; this time, it was Toronto (YYZ) to Munich (MUC) aboard an Airbus A330-300 aircraft. While some of the wines overlapped with my previous trip, there were also a few new goodies thrown in!

  Pretty nose. White peach, fresh flowers, touch of apricot, green apple and honeysuckle. Fuller bodied, with a light creamy, soft texture. More white fruits and great acidity.

  Fresh, grassy, green apple nose. Medium bodied with huge acid backbone. Grapefruit, citrus fruit dominate the body.

  France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape

  Rich, full nose. White peach, passion fruit, and a touch of grapefruit. Lots of citrus, acid driven, somewhat lean on the body.

  Nose of black cherry, light spice, light leather; soft and pretty. Medium bodied with ripe red and black fruits. Supple, elegant body with soft fine tannins to finish. A little simple, but easy to drink and enjoyable.

  Nose filled with honey, apricot and white peach. Light, with a nice sweetness that's balanced by great acidity. Light and fresh, with notes of nectarine and honey on the body.
