    Clean, fruit-driven, mineral but soft, nice hint of sweetness on the finish. Drink young.

    Saturated colour; glossy black cherry fruit, good weight but not heavy (in spite of 14.5% ABV), lovely freshness, ripe tannins, lovely typicity, spicy oak, good length.

  • 2009 Pittacum Bierzo Flawed

    Brett. Not massively so but clearly noticeable. Raw and dry notes on the palate. The staff refused to acknowledge it. Flatly dismissed it. Probably did not know what I was talking about. Pity. May the Lord have mercy on the guests who suffer at the hands of these ignoramuses.

    Note: the restaurant went into receivership in August 2015.

    Second bottle was correct. Fortunately. Similar style to the 2008 but richer and more tannic, grainy, glossy and ripe, good length.
