Developed. On the palate, dry, bright high acidity, medium alcohol, medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of integrated toasted oak, sour red cherries, raspberries, and leather. Medium finish. Very good quality Rosso di Montalcino. Classic high acidity and red fruits from Biondi Santi. Excellent nose. Lower level of intensity and finish than a Brunello. Probably drinking at its peak now.

On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol, high tannins, full body. Pronounced flavour intensity, with flavours of vanilla oak, blackcurrant, dark plums, milk chocolate, cassis, licorice, almond, cinnamon spice, and minty eucalyptus. Long finish. Very good quality Aussie Cabernet Sauvignon from McLaren Vale. Oak still dominant at this stage and will need at least another 3-4 years to integrate. Good stuff that can only get better.

Medium+ finish. Good quality. Acidity could be better. Alcohol level much better/lower than the 2010 vintage.
