    France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Echezeaux Grand Cru

    Decanted for half an hour. A little reticent to start with clear notes of stemminess. Becoming much riper and plummier after 15mins in glass. Enjoyable.

  • 1993 Hubert Lignier Clos de la Roche 97 Points

    France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos de la Roche Grand Cru

    Decanted for half hour. Wonderfully rich and complex right from the bat. Gorgeous notes of leather, game and smokiness. Superb.

    France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape

    Decanted immediately before serving. Very grenache nose that's both sweet and exotic. A little lean on the finish but still great.

    Decanted immediately before serving. cloudy appearance but what a wine. wonderfully layered and complex. lots of secondary flavours. can't help but think it has seen its best days tho. drink up!

    Decanted for an hour. Again distinct green notes of peppers and vegetables that didn't appeal to me. Trumped all round by mouton 82 tonight.
