2013 Arvanitidis Estate Chardonnay 82 Points
Greece, Macedonia
The nose is clean, med/med+ intensity, the wine is supposed to be fermented in just inox tanks but there is a mixture of green notes, ripe fruit but also some oak as well, so maybe a mixture here, youthful.
The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, medium acidity and alcohol, spicy green notes, medium concentration, med finish.
Good quality, inexpensive price, drink now.
Uninspiring, nothing wrong with it but nothing to remember too

2013 Arvanitidis Estate Chardonnay Oak Fermented 83 Points
Greece, Macedonia
The nose is clean, medium intensity, the oak is overpowering in the form of plank rather than oak, ripe melon and peach in the back, youthful.
The wine is dry, med-/med body, med- intensity, medium acidity and alcohol, medium concentration, green fruit notes, some spicy notes on a thin layer of oak, medium finish.
Good quality, medium price, drink now.
Same principle applies unfortunately in this version as well

2012 Angelos Noulas Chardonnay 86 Points

The nose is clean, med/med+ intensity, the character is rather sweet-ish with brioche and very ripe white fleshed fruit, youthful.
The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, med/med+ acidity and medium alcohol, oak notes, vanilla and ripe fruit, a few vegetal hints, citrus and ripe pineapple in the medium finish.
Very good quality, inexpensive, drinking now but can hold.
Showing extremely well for a wine of that price

2010 The Hess Collection Chardonnay 87 Points

The nose is clean, med+ intensity, showing high notes of brioche, toast, wax, honey, butter and hazelnut, I would classify this as what most of the world pressume as a typical Chardonnay of California, also I'll put this as developed.
The wine is dry, medium body, med+ intensity, medium acidity and alcohol (14.5%), oak, vanilla, walnut and hazelnut, toast and honey, oxidation notes, medium concentration, roasted almond in the med+ finish. Tried this after a while and pear jam came in view.
Very good quality, premium price, drink now as this feels slightly going downhill but maybe its this bottle.

2012 Glen Carlou Chardonnay 89 Points

The nose is clean, med/med+ intensity, notes of oak, ripe fruit, pear and citrus, hazelnut and vanilla, youthful.
The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, medium alcohol (14%), acidity med-/med, the concentration is med+ for it feels rather fat in the mouth, shows flavors of butter, brioche, ripe pear, a few vegetal notes offering a rather freshness, medium+ finish.
Very good quality, premium price, drinking now but will hold

2012 Marks & Spencer Chardonnay Lake View 84 Points

The nose is clean, medium intensity, banana dominated fruit profile, some pineapple and vegetal notes as well, youthful.
The wine is dry, medium body and acidity, medium intensity and alcohol (13%), discreet banana flavor and pineapple, ripe pear, feels fresh, med- concentration with a short finish.
Good quality, inexpensive, drink now.
Nice quality for the price tag

2011 Jean-Claude Boisset Meursault Le Limozin 92 Points

The nose is clean, medium intensity, showing complexity, flowery and vanilla, light notes of almonds, subtle toast, youthful.
The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, medium alcohol and acidity, fat and rich, showing med+ concentration, ripe fruit, vanilla, refreshing acidity even though it does feel more than medium, whereas the finish is medium to long.
Outstanding quality, premium price, drinking beautifully now but will hold.
Wine of the night for me, always a pleasure to have this

2011 Kumeu River Chardonnay Coddington 91 Points
New Zealand, North Island, Auckland, Kumeu
The nose is clean, med/med+ intensity, flowery character, with vanilla and brioche underneath, hazelnut, youthful, complexity at almost the same level of the Meursault that was tried next to it but just a step lower.
The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, medium acidity and alcohol, medium concentration, a few vegetal/herb notes that work for freshness, subtle oak derived flavors as well, less complexity and of a different kind than Boisset's, hazelnut in the med finish.
Outstanding quality, premium price, drinking now and will hold.
A great wine, second only to Meursault, closer to 1er Burgundy than anything else, a beautiful wine

The nose is clean, medium intensity, a clear expression of fruit, light flowery notes, a bit vegetal as well, ripe citrus notes, youthful to developing.
The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, medium acidity and alcohol, pineapple and citrus, vegetal tones, very nice fruit flavors, medium concentration, lime scented vanilla medium finish.
Very good quality, premium price, drinking now but will hold.
The wine seemed to underperfom when compared to the previous one, but still a very good wine

The nose is clean, med-/med intensity, vanilla notes with ripe fruit like pear, youthful to developing.
The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, medium acidity and alcohol (14%),almond, oak, vanilla, ripe melon and peach, nice concentration, herb scented butter, lacking real complexity though with medium finish.
