Stemmy with rose, garrigue and strawberry. Palate is delicate with medium length, maybe finishing a touch thin but still an interesting and enjoyable taste.
Lemon and mandarin aromas. Texturally very good, and the drive here is much better for me than the standard uberblanc. Has a little grip to it and finishes with good length.
Blood, blackcurrant and cherry aromas. The palate is juicy, with lots of upfront fruit and there is also some alcohol that shows in the finish. Liked this less than the basic 2013 Primavera Pinot.
Musk and mandarins. Palate has some nice richenss and good intensity - if it had better fruit purity it would be really nice but it is just good as is.
Oats, straw and spices. Palate has good punch and it handles it better than the 2013 Primavera, with fine acidity and structure around the fruit weight. It isn't restrained but it is nice for the style.
Floral, citrus, blackcurrant and cherry. Nice mouthfeel, the acidity is lovely and the touch of stem on the palate adds to the interest. Good flow and length.
Spice and floral nose. Touch of residual sugar on the palate but it is nicely restrained - doesn't have the typical gewurtz styles boldness but I do like it - a little more interest and it would be lifted.
Quince, marmalade and fresh apple and lime aromatics. Sweetness level is quite nice, I'd guess around 70 g/l and certainly has the acid to counter. Very good I thought.
Sulphur dominates at the moment but there is some apple and pear too. The palate has a touch of sugar and it probably needs some more acid cut, but it is pretty tasty anyway.
Truffle, earth and stems. Medium bodied, doesn't fall away like the standard 2012 Pinot. The fruit could use a bit more depth but it does have some texture and interest.
Among the best Pinot Gris I tasted at this event. Graphite, earth, citrus and a mineral streak. Good punch and length on the palate. I really like the mix of fruit sweetness and acidity.
A little bit of brett and medicinal notes on this. The palate is cleaner, there is interest and a nice restraint to the fruit. Shame that the nose isn't better.
Bloody, meaty and mint aromas. I like the tannin structure, it works well with a nice line of acid. This is a serious Merlot that has the potential to age well.
#601, primarily 2006 fruit. Lemon, apple and cherry. Balance on the palate is good - has just the right amount og acid without being searing. Nice length and the dosage is not over the top.
Strawberry, earth and apples. Like the palate, it is nicely balanced with red fruit that has some depth to it. Not usually a big fan of Rose sparkling wine but this hit some nice high notes.
Quite bright on the nose with apple and pear. Has a decent amount of interest for its entry level position - nice enough drinking though not one to be contemplated.
Strawberry and lemon aromas. Very fresh palate, the acidity is firm but not shrill. With more fruit depth it would be excellent but just very good for now.
