We enjoyed a mini-vertical of Hall Cabernet with our combination Louisiana/traditional Christmas dinner of rib roast, turducken, mashed potatoes, oyster dressing, and asparagus. The tasting reminded us how much we LOVE the 2006 vintage of this wine. Well enjoyed!

With Christmas dinner as part of a mini-vertical (2005-2007). This was the 2nd favorite after the fabulous 2006. Seems to be on the down side of its life but still quite nice. Browning a bit with the fruit still there but a touch faded, leaving room for a nice earthy profile. Not urgent but I'd have this on my list to drink in the reasonably near future if it wasn't my last bottle...

With Christmas dinner as part of a mini-vertical (2005-2007) this was by far the family's favorite. Everyone loved it for its smooth mouthfeel and generous yet not over-the-top fruit. A huge winner and still absolutely going strong.

2007 Hall Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 87 Points

with Christmas dinner as part of a mini-vertical (2005-2007). This was the family's least favorite of the three, with a dry chalky texture that didn't quite fit compared to the other two vintages. If we'd only opened this bottle, I think we would have commented on the chalkiness and enjoyed the wine. With the other two bottles opened, this was finished last.
