Pretty good. It had a nice nose, with creamy notes dancing around a core of ripe white fruit and some flinty mineral - very Puligny. Quite nice on the palate too. Surprisingly forward, it showed creamy, buttery notes and mouthfilling white fruited midpalate ringed with a touch of spice. There was nice depth to it and a gentle roundness that made it very easy to drink even in its youth. It also meant that the wine was just a bit soft at point, missing a bit of cut and thrust. That, and a little hint of heat at the edges aside, a pleasant enough wine - probably best drank early.

An interesting wine, full of rustic charm. On the nose, funky, earth and barnyard, and some stony mineral notes mingled with beautiful sweet fruit aromas - with black plums and cassis wreathed with violet flowers, garrigue and spice, and then a little touch of herb bringing up the rear. Lots going on here, and it is quite intriguing - you must not mind the funk though. The palate was rather simpler, but still quite charming. Still clean and well-balanced, with lots of fresh acid and a layer of velvety, almost Burgundian tannins, it held its age very well, save for a slight hint of thinness in its black fruited, plummy flavours flecked with little pricks of spice and earth and a whiff of that funk on the finish. Not for everyone I think, but I liked this quite a bit, enough to get a couple of bottles for myself.
