  • 2007 Hubert Lamy Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet 93 Points

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru

Still a young wine. Citrus nose, very minerally. Taste citrus and pear, almonds, minerals, beautiful acids. I very much liked the balance of fruit, minerals and acids in this wine, and its enormous length.

  • 2012 Emmanuel Rouget Vosne-Romanée 91 Points

  • 2009 Bernard Van Berg Cuvée Solaire

    France, Burgundy, Bourgogne-Grand-Ordinaire

Nose lots of fruit, some greenness, appears young. Taste lots of concentration, soft tannins. Kind of atypical wine, seems a bit disjointed at the moment. Maybe in time things will settle. Difficult to rate.

  • 2013 Felton Road Pinot Noir Block 5 91 Points

New Zealand, South Island, Otago, Central Otago

Tasted this blind. Very good pinot noir. Nose and taste cassis tones, spiciness, minerals, nice acidity, good concentration, balanced. This is the first New Zealand pinot I have had that showed this kind of complexity.
