Dark garnet core with bright purple rim; graphite, lead pencil, unadulterated Cab, tons of black currant, some red currant, slight green pepper, would not describe this as modern, not getting a strong oak signature, slight chocolate; palate continues with classic Cabernet flavors, great balance, pleasant grip, good acid; tight and coiled up a bit but really impressive, especially for vintage; could see this going 20 years.

Dull ruby with paler rim, see through; some sulfur, watermelon, violets, sour dark cherry; palate shows white stone, leaner, sour cherry, more tart red fruit than nose suggests; very pretty.
Crimson core, see through, copper rim; cherry and orange, elegant, hinting at sandalwood, almost cinnamon, rose, mint; slight grit or sandy texture, red licorice, good wrap of dried cherry and tannin; very good; was on Paolo Scavino.

Very dark core with greenish brown rim; soy, seems prematurely aged, brown sugar, celery seed, caraway; some grip, aged; not giving much other than aged notes- disappointing.

Dark ruby with moderate clarity, bright violet rim; a little mean and green off the nose at first, purple flowers, purple fruit, slight pepper and tar; tart dark berry, softer and lighter on the palate than nose suggests, firm structure, white rock, lots of stone, old school; delicious.
Yellow with green hues; red apple, pear, some green pear skin, white rock, slight honey came out with air; palate is clean, undisturbed, elevates to almost lemon level, limestone, slight mint; a bit boring, I knew the smoke and mirrors wouldn't be there but the mid was lacking too.
Dull crimson, see through, onion skin rim; Brett is strong, leather, dried roses, dried red fruit, seems grippy from the nose, sweaty and gamey; too much Brett on the palate; could not drink but I did nail it.
The Darioush was done non-blind, but it is definitely my favorite from tonight. The others were either very good or flawed with cork, Brett, or heat exposure.
