Quite dark for such a young wine, probably due to very ripe grapes. Very intense nose of ripe fruits, tart yellow plums, apple juice, slight oxidative note, very concentrated and overwhelming bouquet. Agressive and highly extracted at this stage, very high accidity I would leave it for 2-3 years to compose itself and calm a little. Enticing.
Very intense nose of red berries, nettle, herbal, spices, menthol. pickle. High accidity. Closes for an hour and gets leaner with time. Overall very lively and interesting. No need to rush here, it is at its peak, but will develop more tertiary aromas in the future.
More barnyard than '82, lean but piercing accidity, juicy fruits, same pickle and herbal notes - this is at its peak. With time smoke and meat notes developped.
Today I liked it more than '81 and '82. Softer body, leaner and more silky, spicy-herbal-pickle notes, smoked meats. This had a pleasant food feeling to it, like you are eating, not drinking a wine. There were some stewed fruits and coffee. With time it developped a note of smoked pickle. Excellent.
