Introduction
FWWG = First Wednesday Wine Group. Law firm of Kozyak Tropin & Throckmorton (KTT) holds a wine tasting on the first Wednesday of each month. Everyone brings a bottle of wine. This tasting was held at the offices of David Ortiz (the "Financial Chef") in Coral Gables.
Open That Bottle Night @ The Financial Chef:
The theme is Open That Bottle Night, so you should bring a bottle you have been saving for a special occasion, but never seem to get to. No demerits for wine that is past its prime.
Our Open That Bottle tasting at the Financial Chef was a delightful affair. Special thanks to David Ortiz for hosting us and putting out an amazing spread, not to mention bringing back the chocolate covered bacon(!). We saw some first timers and swilled some great wines, including many with serious age on them. Some of the wines we tasted are listed below.

Tasted with a Burgundy expert and we both agreed that this wine has not matured into its potential yet. Medium to light body, soft flavors, not well balanced. Not what I expected at this point.
