Not very easy to get to grips with, a rather quizzical but by no means ephemeral wine; peach, chamomile, toast, minerals, good weight of fruit, ripe acidity, could do with a bit more zing and length.
Quite an individual flavour profile and character, herbs, bitter-sweet fruits, roses, candyfloss, fresh but with masculine alpine bitters, has energy and weight, very good intensity and length.
Bottled 2008. Real depth of flavour, quite woodsy but not dried out, deep, medium dry, very concentrated and intense, extremely powerful acidity, has retained a wonderful balancing core of ripe fruit, extremely long.
Aromatic, pure and fragrant, undergrowth and rosehip, smoke; light and mineral, nice warmth from the oak, silky, ripe fruit, fresh, soft but present tannins, lovely length.
Lovely Manseng bitters, citrus and bitter-sweet tropical fruits, intense and long, juicy, spicy, energetic and fresh, elegant but intense sweetness, clean as a whistle, a very pure expression.
