  • NV Bodegas César Florido Jerez-Xérès-Sherry Chipiona 90 Points

    Spain, Andalucía, Jerez-Xérès-Sherry

A very gentle style, fresh but soft and juicy rather than austere, lovely minerality, hint of aniseed, finishes with brine and flowers.

    France, Champagne

Pale white gold, light and friendly style, light flavours, fresh with some citrus fruit, youthful, mineral, attractive.

  • 2010 Orea Riesling Spätlese Trocken "AR" 90 Points

    Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer

Pale, green-tinged white gold; lovely nose, open and fragrant, smoky slate, peach and white flowers, hints of grapefruit and, amazingly, box tree; quite an unusual profile on the palate too, with very strong grapefruit notes married to untamed 2010-acidity and grassy notes, delivers real tension and excitement however; noticeable bitters on the finish, good length. Quite an non-conformist wine, but the quality of the wine-making is undoubtable. Moderate alcohol (11,5% ABV), total sulphites < 60 mg/l.
