Forse la più grande sorpresa del viaggio. Vini incredibili, composti, sottili, eleganti e molto fedeli al terroir.
Grande, grande, grande produttore
Vini tecnologici, pasticciati, poco a fuoco. Tanto legno e sensazione di un produttore che non sa bene cosa fare con le vigne straordinarie che ha in mano.

Barrel tasting. Acidità tesa, tannino fitto e sapido. Frutto scuro. Uno dei migliori assaggi da Prieur. Già buono e pulito.

Rispetto a tutti gli altri assaggi del 2012 ha un colore più tenue, al naso è più dolciastro e più pulito.
Bocca di medio corpo, armonica e rotonda con ancora residui lattici e fermentativi.
Tannino granulare, ma molto gustoso.
Legno asciugante in chiusura, ma è un vino quadrato, solido che non nasconde una vena di leggiadria.
Il migliore assaggio da Prieur.

Naso chiusissimo.
Bocca molto masticabile e voluminosa, di grande persistenza tannica.
Ha una buona freschezza, ma manca la mineralità calcarea di cui la parte piatta in basso della vigna è priva.

Bocca magra, diluita e fiacca. Molta sensazione di legno per un vino sterilizzato dalla solforosa che manca di aromi e personalità.

Grandi assaggi dalla botte dei 2013. Vini molto puliti e poco legnosi.
Al contrario gli assaggi da bottiglia, mancano dell' eleganza e della pulizia che si si aspetterebbe.
Probabilmente i tappi DIAM non lavorano come sperato.

Pellame, terra e tonalità più scura. Nonostante la grande materia, il vino è di medio corpo e per nulla pesante. Pulsante, affilato, molto minerale e salino.
Simile al Taillepieds come volume del sorso, ma ancora più persistente.

Rispetto all' idea classica dei Clos Vougeot è molto floreale, di medio corpo, poca macerazione con beva scorrevole e quasi sottile, nonostante la grande materia.
Tannino importante e foderante, molto masticabile.

Tasting at the domaine. Molto aperto e comunicativo, caloroso figlio dell' annata 2009. Champignons, conchiglie sbriciolate, timo, salvia e mandorle amare.
In bocca il profilo aromatico floreale è sterilizzato dall' eccessiva solforosa e la mancanza di acidità pregiudica la dinamica verticale e lo rende un pò molle.
Il finale salino è la parte migliore.

Naso di fiori e frutta macerati, quasi surmaturi.
Non c' è per ora corrispondenza gusto-olfattiva perchè il sorso è prevale la tonalità vegetale e il tannino immaturo e asciugante.
Vino scomposto e difficile ancora da amalgamare.
Necessita di molto anni di attesa

Personaggio emozionante Fréderic Mugnier, come i vini che raccontano di lui e ne rappresentano la personalità essenziale, pragmatica e taciturna.
Grandi assaggi, tra i migliori del viaggio. Incredibile l' assenza del legno e la precisione della vinificazione.

In bocca ha una bella acidità controllata, è morbido, vellutato e più ampio rispetto ai vini di Chambolle. Tannino sabbioso coprente, ma elegantissimo.

Bocca più sottile rispetto al Bonnes Mares, molto floreale, delicatissimo e sensuale.

Frutto surmaturo, sensazione di macerazione prolungata. Enorme cilindrata e ampiezza.
Bocca equilibratissima piuttosto "sauvage" con tannino ancora serrato, ma mai fastidioso, ricorda un grande Barolo.
Persistenza imbarazzante.

Vini travasati da una settimana. La sensazione di legno era ancora eccessiva e pregiudicava in parte le differenze tra i vari terroir.
Nonostante questo, assaggi molto piacevoli e domaine da tenere d' occhio in quanto dal 2014 avrà una nuova direttrice.

In bocca è spudorato, profumatissimo, e ficcante.
Manca di sottiliezza, è un vino spudoprato, strillato e molto aperto per essere un giovane Clos de la Roche.
Si sente ancora il 90% di legno nuovo, ma è un vino veramente pazzesco.

Medio corpo rispetto ai grand cru, sembra più diluito.
Legno e tannino sono ancora molto presenti. Come si addice al Malconsort è un vino austero, molto indietro e poco concessivo in bocca nei primi anni di vita.

Tasting at the domaine. Maturo, adulto, nel pieno delle sue forze e della consapevolezza di essere una star.
Rafano, ferro e salsa di soia, cola e radici. Poi la parte caramellata candita. Un naso da starci ore....
In bocca l' equilibrio tra le parti è incredibile, tanti profumi, fiori e spezie dei raspi che si impossessano del corpo e lo rendono molto fluido e scorrevole.
L' acidità tagliente dell' annata si è finalmente ammorbidita, ma è ancora molto pregnante, sembra una spugna che avvolge le guance.
Finale vibrante effervescente infinito, ma delicato.
Scende senza peso formando una scia di mineralità amara che solo il Clos de la Roche porta con sé, lasciando un segno indelebile nella memoria e nel cuore.
Vino immenso, da pelle d' oca.

Grande talento e persona elegante e di classe. Enorme salto di qualità tra i villages e i 1er cru, che sono vini ben fatti, ma mancano di magia.
Alcuni Grand Cru invece sono vini davvero con una marcia in più, giocati sulla sottrazione della materia per lasciare spazio all' ariosità e alla complessità degli aromi e alla mineralità.

La bocca invece ti spiazza per quanto sia indietro. Amaro, tannico e verdissimo, ancora tanto legno a ingolfare il sorso.

Tasting at the domaine. Profilo simile all Hautes Cotes de Nuits, che descrive un vino ancora sgraziato e da amalgamare. In questo caso, la materia fenolica e il corpo sono maggiori e riescono in parte a mascherare il legno, il tannino e la parte verde.
Come l' Hautes Cotes de Nuits, è da attendere diversi anni.

Tasting at the domaine. Equilibratissimo, il legno dolce è dosato a meraviglia e i raspi regalano un tocco aereo e un' esplosione di profumo quasi tossica.
E' inequivocabilmente la somma dei profumi dell Echézeaux, la mineralità del Latricieres e la materia oscura del Clos de la Roche.
Incredibile come il tannino sia più levigato e meno in evidenza...quasi che la maggior cilindrata e complessità del cru, siano in grado di fagocitare il legno nuovo per regalare un vino sorridente e quasi amichevole.

Tanti raspi e molto corpo, frutta scura concentrata, ma senza peso.... una nuvola che fluttua nell' aria. Lungo e puro. I raspi e la totale assenza di solforosa regalano un sorso incredibilmente gustoso, tutto succo e grande rusticità, senza mai abbandonare la pulizia e la nettezza della fattura.

Naso più vegetale rispetto al 1er ponts, il frutto è in secondo piano.
In bocca invece è un' esplosione di ogni tipo di frutta spremuta a mano.
Complesso, stratificato, pregnante nel gioco tra legno, frutto, raspi e mineralità sottile che regala una persistenza degna di un grand cru, senza averne il peso e la difficoltà di beva.
Vino incredibile, carissimo, ma purissimo. Grande omaggio al maestro Henri-Fréderich Roch e gemma introvabile, da bere ora, senza aspettare domani.
Unico come il genio che lo produce. Grazie Yann!!

Sottile,ma per nulla magro, molto gustoso, spezie pungenti e una pulizia cristallina in cui il legno è inesistente, sembra fatto in ceramica.

Tasting at the domaine. Sensazione di calore e di eccessiva gradazione alcolica. anche il legno amaro è sopra le righe rispetto agli altri esempi.

Tasting at the domaine. La parte bassa della vigna è molto ricca di calcare ed è diversa dallo Charmes.
Naso più chiuso, molto vegetale. Bocca tesa, introversa, molto vibrante.
Manca la parte carnosa e oleosa dello Charmes che ci si aspetta.

Tasting at the domaine. Ha tutte le caratteristiche di equilibrio e complessità che rendono il Genevrières, la mia vigna di Meursault preferita.
Lemongrass e pompelmo rosa, dialogano con la parte di zucchero di canna per creare una filigrana armonica e accattivante.
Persistenza e sfaccettature già da primo della classe.

Tasting at the domaine. Tutto più ampio, gli aromi, la materia e la progressione. Finale agli agrumi molto luminoso e vibrante, ma regna un grande equilibrio tra le parti e mai nessuna prevale.
Finale lungo e accattivante.

Barrell tasting at the domaine. Mentuccia, sottolissimo anche nel colore paglierino verdolino, sembra un vermentino.
Bocca composta e sottile, ma non magra. Tanta acidità brillante e finale più morbido da chewing-gum alla panna.

Frutta giovane, erba di prato e salvia. Una marcia in più sull' espansione e complessità aromatica.
In bocca è morbido, quasi zuccherato, e molto aperto.

Barrell tasting at the domaine. Grosso, ma non grasso. Una granita alla mela.
Al contrario del Bienvenues, questo vino è già apertissimo e solare.
Spezie secche e erba fresca, Frutta gialle a poi tutta la controparte agrumata e marina. Finale molto lungo e a fuoco. Legno inesistente.
Si preannuncia a livello dei suoi standard di eccellenza. 93-95

Un confetto alla pera! Sul finale esce il vero Chevalier, salino ed effervescente.
Deve ancora guadagnare in volume e tridimensionalità, ma è già affilatissimo e puro.

Tasting at the domaine. Caramella cremosa al limone, latticino glassato, ma mai stucchevole, molto bilanciato .
In bocca è molto giovane, acidulo e citrino, quasi spumoso.
Finale composto, degno di un principe adolscente.
Da attendere almeno 5 anni.

Tasting at the domaine. Impiega 20 minuti ad aprirsi.... terziarizzazione mielosa quasi tostata, frutta secca e pasta di meliga.
Bocca sparata tra il dolce e l' amaro, il legno è ancora sensibile.
Finale salino finissimo, ricorda tanti piccoli cristalli luccicanti.
Persistenza imbarazzante... a livello di 5 minuti.
Un monumento dell' enologia!

Vini ghiacciati, e temperature polare in cantina hanno in parte pregiudicato l' aromaticità di questi vini "old style"
Bianchi dalla lunghe macerazioni, legni vecchi e rossi non diraspati.

Tasting at the domaine. Naso glassato, frutta rossa cristallina laccata. Bellissimo e profumatissimo. Bocca ampia e glicerica, ma scende senza peso, sembra un vino fatto di aria. Spezia da raspi e tannino molto fitto, grande acidità che aumenta la salivazione.
La grande marcia in più rispetto agli altri vini è la mineralità, che crea questa scia persistente e pulisce la bocca.
Buonissimo e longevo.

Grand Cru concentratissimo e masticabile: una spremuta di ribes. In bocca colpiscono l' enorme maturità fenolica e il volume. Tanto tannino ancora invasivo che pregiudica la distensione.
Vino compresso al momento: da attendere almeno 7-8 anni. Uno spreco ora.

Naso più avvolgente, più ampio, più complesso, tanti fiori e etereità balsamica.
In bocca è arioso, sottile ma allo stesso tempo foderante e intenso.
Grandissima mineralità calcarea e tannino dei raspi incisivo ma già smussato e gustosissimo.
Finale ancora un pò austero, ma è già un vino incredibile.
Se lo Chambertin è più voluminoso, mascolino e tannico; il Clos de Bèze è più intellettuale nella sua potenza discreta e più complesso di aromi.
Uno dei migliori assaggi del 2013.

Tasting at the domaine. 0% diraspato. Mancavano 3 mesi di barrique all' imbottigliamento e il residuo di gas era ancora sensibile.
Naso più esotico, orange zest, liquore di lamponi.
Bocca molto ampia, voluminosa, più tannica del Clos de Bèze e più mascolina, come è giusto che sia!
Nonostante tutto era già molto bevibile, comunicativo e facile. Molto promettente e davvero esplicativo della vigna.
