  • 2002 Henschke Abbotts Prayer 94 Points

Australia, South Australia, Mount Lofty Ranges, Lenswood

Decanted briefly. Absolutely awesome. Ripe but restrained, complex notes of flint/mineral, mature currant, and exotic red plum. Still has verve and tension. In the zone at the moment. Drink now-2017.

  • 1989 Domaine des Baumard Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru 94 Points

France, Loire Valley, Anjou-Saumur, Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru

Exceptional. Tangerine, creme brulee, white chocolate nose. Palate loses the sweet character, dry, crystallized tangerine. Doesn't quite seem 25 years old. Beautiful stuff.
