Very healthy and youthful color, opened bottle for a few hours before drinking. Full bodied, overall quite spirity, liquorice, medium finish, went ok with the lamb. A bit over the top for me. Very good plus but leaves me puzzled. Maybe just not my cup of tea. Will wait a bit for the second bottle. Drink or hold.
Bottle was leaking so I decided to open it. Hard to tell if the failing cork has impacted the bottle so assessment with reservations. Wine seemed to be sound, quite big and ripe, early development, a bit rustic with years required. Excellent but hold.
