Quite light colour for the age. Nose initially starts off with gasoline and is reserved. With air it opened up and notes of fresh honey, corn flake (cereal), some pickle juice, white flowers appeared. There was also ripe peach, peach syrup, even a bit of resin or wax. This was in the biggest need for air, an hour or two long decant will help it to show the best of itself.
France, Loire Valley, Anjou-Saumur, Savennières-Coulée de Serrant
Closed nose in the beginning, but nicely opens up with peppermint, some honeycomb, slight saline-sea notes, iodine. Multilayered taste, quite difficult to describe, there's some ginger and gingerbread. Medium accidity, buttery finish. Liked it a lot.
Bright yellow. Intense nose - pickled Moroccan lemons, pickled artichokes, oxidative character. Some Mosel-like citrus notes. A bit rustic, but quite good, if you like this style.
Nose starts off with reduction - there were aromas of plasticine and watercolours, with air it changed to creamy-roasted notes, herbs, buttery sweetness. Multilayered palate, full, round and pleasant. It seems that the winemaking was stronger than the hot vintage here. (88)
Improved on day two, there appeared a good vanilla sweatness and excellent mouthfeel. (91)
Lightest colour of them all. Apple puree nose, but quite neutral and vague. Steely, gentle taste. I didn't see the character of this wine, to me it was either simple or too light. One of the weak spots in the line-up.
Bright colour and intense nose. Fino Jerez on the nose as well as nuts, multilayered, buttery finish, there's also honey and resin. Butter cookies are on the background. As others said, it is very young, give it time.
Amber colour. Nose of mild caramel, tart orange, orange, olives. Pleasant sweetness and tannin on the palate. This was an extremely interesting, excellent wine. Don't be afraid to try it - especially if you can get a mature bottle!
Golden yellow. Concentrated salinity on the nose, very strongly reminded me of chicken broth, olive tapenade, dried appricot, very pleasant. Interesting fruity nuance. Overall very well made and well balance, loved it.

Amber, orange colour. Spices, orange syrup, orange marmalade on the nose. Body was light. I preferred Breg '99 to this, there was quite a difference.
