2011 Spring Mountain Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 90 Points

From the La Perla and Miravalle vineyards, 87% Sauvignon Blanc and 13% Sémillon, raised in neutral French oak for four months with bâtonnage every week, 920 cases produced. Ripe and soft style, the Sémillon adds weight and mouthfeel, white peach, pear, hint of toast, rich yet fresh, nice hint of grassiness, lovely length.

2009 Spring Mountain Vineyard Elivette 92 Points

The yield was a mere 1 ton per acre. A blend of 55% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 22% Cabernet Franc, 12% Petit Verdot and 10% Merlot and 1% Malbec. Rich and clean cherry fruit, attractive spicy oak, firm but ripe tannins, harmonious and well-balanced, generous, airy, hint of pepper from the beautifully ripe Cabernet Franc, relaxed, feminine, wonderful freshness and length. Reminded me of Château du Tertre in a ripe vintage - like 2009.

2007 Spring Mountain Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 93 Points

A blend of 97% Cabernet-Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc. Wonderful lush cassis and cherry fruit, almost an essence of Cabernet-Sauvignon, leather and earth notes, hint of barnyard, red meat, lovely depth, wonderful mountain minerality, grainy tannins, masculine, fresh, really energetic, athletic. Drinking beautifully and with a great future.

2005 Spring Mountain Vineyard Elivette 94 Points
USA, California, Napa Valley, Spring Mountain District
A blend of 81% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot each and 5% Merlot, 14.2% ABV. Complex and deep nose, layered, velvety, very complete, great length, fleshy but elegant, very classic composition, beautiful blackberries with a hint of beef stew, rose petals, good tannic grip, will easily age another decade.

A blend of 80% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Cedar, leather, deep, powerful and classic, like a Léoville-làs-Cases from a classic vintage, hint of barnyard, masculine, structured, impeccable, beautifully fresh and youthful. Great wine, great future.
