Italian wine tasting at local retailer

Introduction
Got invitation to this retailer tasting and the only theme here seemed to be Italy. While there was nothing really outstanding, it was an interesting tasting including some less common producers and regions. Also the quality across the board was very solid, even though most wines were not expensive. The Tua Rita Rosso dei Notri was the discovery of the day for me and great QPR.
NV Flor Prosecco 87 Points

Fresh on the nose with nice acidity, rather thin on the palate lacking a bit substance. OK

Very sweet, only slightly sparkling on the palate. Had to check on the label whether this had any alcohol as it seemed more like a nice soft drink

2012 Tasca D'Almerita Chardonnay Sicilia 90 Points

Slightly oily texture without being too fat or sweet, interesting note of something like green olives, or rather the liquid from pickled green olives. Dry. l liked this and bought a few bottles.

Fresher, with much more citrus notes than the Tasca Almerita and some green grass flavors. Not bad but fairly generic Sauvignon Blanc

Surprisingly soft and fruit forward for a BdM, red fruit but also some stewed notes. Medium finish. My fist 2009 BdM I believe, and I understand now this notion of 09 being a vintage for early drinking... 89-90

Rather light body combined with medium, dusty tannins giving the wine a very dry proile. Not sure this will find a better balance down the road.

Was curious to try as I have not yet touched my 2007 Brunellos. Garnet with translucent rim, nice nose with herbs and flowers, still medium tannins, medium finish. Needs food or more time but will not become a great Brunello in my eyes. 90+

Clearly a young wine in the glass with a dark garnet and purple reflections. Medium body with fairly forward fruit at this point in time but there is structure with the Cabernet clearly coming through. Very impressive for a Rosso and for the price. Bought a couple bottles. 88-89

Dark garnet to the rim, seems rather closed right now, with lots of swirling you get some dark fruit, herbs, potato chips, a touch of oak. On the palate this has plenty of concentration and substance. Medium tannins. Power over elegance right now. Needs time. 92+

Dark garnet with translucent rim. Deep dark fruits, herbs, a touch of chocolate, less tight than I remember my bottle a few months ago. Perhaps does not require a very long decant (?)

Dark garnet with purple reflections, fruit forward and fairly sweet, has this strange clinical note on the palate, reminds me of those inexpensive, very generic Australian Cabs often served at Chinese weddings. No thanks.

Dark garnet. Exceptionally herbal nose, tobacco, grass, some oak, medium tannins. Very fragrant but a bit too far on the green spectrum of things for my taste.
