2011 The Eyrie Vineyards Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 91 Points

Pale salmon orange color, almost bricked in tone, slightly cloudy with some sediment and tartaric acid crystals. 2oz pour over 15 minutes. I'll echo a lot of what Chablis28 said. Always tending to very light in color, this was particularly pale - many a rose would come in darker. But don't be fooled by what this delivers in terms of flavors and nuance. Very pretty nose with earth, strawberry, and dried flowers. The big appeal though is the tart cherry and tart strawberry fruit and a splendidly mouthwatering acidity that just lingers and energizes the palate. Light body with subtle spices along with plenty of charm and finesse. Some will not be able to get past the pale color and automatically dismiss this as thin or weak. Too bad for them as this is wonderful. 91+pts.

2011 Domaine Serene Pinot Noir Evenstad Reserve 92 Points

Medium dark red color, slightly cloudy. 2oz pour over 20 minutes. I make no apologies in thoroughly enjoying this wine. Classic in profile with floral notes up front along with bright red fruits, cherry, cinnamon, a touch of toasted oak, along with damp earth and vanilla. The palate also delivers with bright red fruits, cherries, silky texture, red raspberry, medium body, good acid, earth and minerals. This seems to expand across the palate and then just lingers delightfully. Drinking very well now.

2012 Winter's Hill Estate Pinot Noir Watershed 90 Points

Medium dark red color - crystal clear, very pretty color, like a lab created gemstone. 2oz pour over 20 + minutes. This was a bit tighter on the nose but seemed to have this hi top note of red fruit that kept developing, spice, subtle leather, rose petals. The palate shows the bright cherry fruit, quite soft with medium body, spice, some wood and a touch of heat comes and goes. Youthful and may be better in a year. 90(+?)pts.

2013 Domaine Drouhin Oregon Pinot Noir 89 Points

Medium red color. 2oz pour over 20 minutes. This was quite similar to the Winter's Hill Watershed. Both were youthful and had similar flavor profiles and some heat. Introverted nose, earth, red fruits. The palate shows red fruits, some smoke, wood, cherry, more heat at the end. This was my first crack at 2013. It will be interesting to see how these pan out and develop.

2011 Alexana Pinot Noir Revana Vineyard 91 Points

Dark red color. 2oz pour over 20 minutes. I had this initially at the winery about 20 months ago. I thought it was good, young and had potential. Check off the potential box as this has come around very nicely indeed. I really like the nose, there's a good bit of funk here and nice red fruit to go along with the earthiness and shroomy character. The palate has sweeter fruit, ripe, still good acid, ripe berries, earthy, delicious, nice wood and medium plus finish. This drinks well now, as have most of the '11's I've had lately, but I'm hopeful that many of these will show some of the potential longevity of the '07's.

2012 Trisaetum Pinot Noir Wichmann Dundee Estate 92 Points

Medium dark red color. 2oz pour over 20 minutes. The nose is really earthy, funk, slightly muted red fruits. The palate is already developed and open for business, ripe, long, layered red fruits with some hints of darker fruit, there's a nice freshness to the wine that coupled with the excellent structure should bode well. I loved the damp earth and mushroom on the palate. A bit of heat on the finish. Very nice. I'll sit on mine for another 2 years. 92+pts.

2012 Arterberry Maresh Pinot Noir Weber Vineyard 91 Points

Medium dark red color. 2oz pour over 20+ minutes. Young, nice fruit, red fruit, good tannins, good acid, this is well layered and deep. Needs to sit for a bit though. 91(+)pts.

2010 Argyle Brut Rosé 88 Points

Pale salmon orange color. 2oz pour over 15 minutes. This seemed pretty simple to me today, cherry and strawberry nose with cherry and ripe berry on the palate, sweet, a bit candied and some stone fruit. Not as refined as I'd have expected.
