Closed in the beginning. Some bell pepper, (rubber?), smoke, quite dark (?!) aromas. After 10 min in the glass - eucalyptus, pine needles, sauna aromas. Really interesting after an hour in the glass. Drink it slow and enjoy its evolution.
WOTN. Really surprised by this bottle. Fruit forward, lots of oak, mushroom nose, brilliantly developed in the bottle, reminded me of mature Rioja. Somehow long barrell aging paid off and this rather simple, inexpensive wine was our favourite. Clean, tasty, balanced, enjoyable, low alcohol. (A-)
Very nice comparing it to 2002 and 2005. Lower alcohol, better balance and finesse. In recent years this has become a fruit bomb. Though - may be after some 15-20y in the bottle, they all get much better, who knows.

This also had some dark berries as well as 2001. Strong blackcurrant jam nose, jam, young port (!), figs. Quite sweet.

2008 Concha y Toro Cabernet Sauvignon Don Melchor 87 Points

The most vivid from 95, 01 and 08. Leathery fruit. At this point unpleasant bitterness on the finish. If possible - choose 05 over 08.
