    Israel, Galilee, Golan Heights

    Dark opaque red purple
    Rich dark fruits aroma - blackberries, cassis, raspberries - with hints of green bell pepper & coffee
    Full-bodied , firm tannins, high acidity level, dark fruits flavours, especially raspberries & plums, with subtle notes of sage and other Mediterranean herbs alongside with graphite and tobacco leaves, excellent harmony, well balanced, smooth and mouth filling, medium length finish with notes of mocha.
    Quite an enjoyable wine!

  • 2010 Pasqua Le Soraie Metodo Appasimento Veronese IGT 88 Points

    Italy, Veneto, Veronese IGT

    made from Corvina, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, part were slightly dried before fermentation
    dark red-purple
    fine dark fruits aroma with subtle alpine herbs
    medium to full bodied, smooth, soft integrated tannins, good acidity level, cold climate CS & Merlot with twist of the Corvina grape express dark fruits flavours, subtle alpine herbs, raisins and coffee.
    medium finish. An enjoyable wine for food.

Closing

while the Soraie wasn't impressing - the Matar was excellent for its category
