Introduction

Another great meeting of the Brotherhood of St Paul de Vence this time at Acadia Chicago where we gathered after day 2 of the ASCO meeting.

  • 2010 Benjamin Leroux Auxey-Duresses Blanc 88 Points

    France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Auxey-Duresses

    Pale green-gold. Touches of white pears, apples, lime and lemon on the nose. Palate well defined with good grip and length. Nice mineral finish with distinction. Excellent village wine defined by the year.

  • 2009 Domaine / Maison Vincent Girardin Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes 88 Points

    France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin

    Deep colour. Nose quite forward with black and red currants and berries. Touches of game and earth. Palate medium intensity with moderate berry fruits and nice earth and game touches leading to quite a tight finish. Very good village wine. Delicious with duck and wagyu courses at Acadia.

Closing

Great company as always, excellent and inventive food and an excellent series of wines with greatness in the La Nerthe Blanc.
