White wine of the night for me. So intense, lively and chalky. Searingly dry and incisive but never austere. The citrus pith, peach and rock dust notes linger on the lip-smackingly bright finish. I could drink a lot of this.
Another lovely offering from Prager. The mineral notes are very pronouced, with an almost saline quality to it. Chiseled and fine but could use some cellar time to unwind a bit.
Excellent wine, but suffered a bit in the company it shared tonight. Nice citrus, wet stones and orchard fruits notes, and well balanced, but not quite as "driven" as other Alzingers I've had.
Beautiful, expressive, aromatic and just drinking great right now. The first few whiffs had a pronounced green pepper note, but this settled in when the earth, leather and minerals notes joined the party. Nicely resolved structure, yet still lively and fresh. What a joy to drink with pizza; I need to try this combination more often.
A bit of an unfocused, fuzzy nose that doesn't quite spark any interest. The palate was good enough, but rather straight forward and soft. Nice enough wine, and I think I liked it more than others, but this particular bottle did lack character.
Hand carried back from Portugal. The cork started turning as I inserted the worm, which did not bode well. The nose seemed nice enough, with a mature, sweet, woodsy bottle bouquet, but the palate was a different story. Soft, flabby, dried out and oxidized. I suspect the poor seal was the culprit here.

I don't need any more producers to collect, but alas I need to start purchasing some of this. A revelation, with such bright, energetic, crunchy and snappy red fruits. There was a nice filigree minerality and a haunting floral note to this svelte little wine. Just so silky and smooth with a bright, crisp, electric finish. So much upside potential. Nice "old school" label as well.
