Moshe Zuker hosted a Brunello di Montalcino evening very generously.
We were about 10 invitees around the table.
Alon Gonen, chef, orchestrated the many dishes who were served at the table.
Some of the great & tasty dishes that I recall were:
- Lettuce & artichoke with two kinds of hard cheese in a suitable sauce
- Fried shrimps in olive-oil on roasted eggplant paste, topped with oregano
- Lobster-tale Gnocchi in a creamy mushroom sauce topped with parsley
- Rabbit stew in red wine sauce, with cooked bit-root, carrot, tomato, anise & garlic, topped with parsley
- Beef-filet medallion with asparagus and mini-potatoes in red wine sauce
For dessert Moshe served tons of sinful cakes, where one was better than the other…
A late-harvest Tulip Gewürztraminer and Limoncello ended the alcoholic session. Bravo!!!
Thanks of Moshe user for an unforgettable Brunello soirée
With many great wines and very tasty dishes that Alon Gonen, chef, prepared for us in the kitchen
