    Smells like anisette and nail lacquer. With time only the first disappears.
    Slightly tannic and very acid and a too much present wood at this point too. With a little abstracted mind could pass for a decent wine.

    Olor a anís y a laca. Con tiempo sólo desaparece el primero.
    Muy ácido y ligeramente tánico con una madera demasiado presente en este punto. Con un poco de abstracción podría pasar por un vino decente.

    Delicious and appetising. Already matured? Aromas of dried roses. Also tart cherries. Mineral and sandy. In mouth slightly tannic with notes of pastry shop. Without too much length however.

    Delicioso y apetecible. Como sí ya hubiese madurado. Aromas a rosas secas. También a cerezas agrias. Mineral y arenoso. En boca ligeramente tánico pero con notas a pastelería. Sin mucha longitud no obstante.

  • 2009 Fratelli Brovia Barolo Rocche

    It smells like ripe fruit, perhaps last tangerine skin but by the white side. In the mouth it is quite round but very short. It does not convince me at all. Does the damn vintage?

    Huele a fruta madura, pasada quizás a piel de mandarina pero por la parte blanca. En boca está bastante redondo aunque muy corto. No me convence. ¿La maldita añada?

  • 2009 Roagna Barolo Vecchie Viti Pira

    Some of that greenness and oak elements are demanding time in the bottle to settle. Right now each element is at your leisure.
    In spite of that it is a brilliant effort among its peers, all with elegance and depth.

    Algo de ese verdor y de la madera que están reclamando tiempo en botella para asentarse. Ahora mismo cada elemento va a su aire. Aún así destaca entre sus iguales: elegancia y profundidad.

    Lactic notes of sour cream in the beginning. Notes of sweet tobacco some pastry and wet earth appear. Also vinegar. I'm surprised by a very soft mouth which runs through the palate to the throat very quickly leaving a marked acidity on the aftertaste .

    Notas lácticas a nata agria en un principio. Aparecen notas a tabaco dulce, algo de pastelería y tierra mojada. Algo de vinagre. Me sorprende una boca muy suave, que recorre el paladar hasta la garganta rápidamente dejando como postgusto una marcada acidez.

  • 2009 Schiavenza Barolo Vigneto Broglio

    Elegant to the bone but the wood prevails at this point. Unfortunately because depth is immense here.
    On the palate is acidic and settle pending. With fine structure and harmony that will not have any problems in the next future.

    Elegante hasta la médula pero la madera en este punto prevalece. Una desgracia porque la profundidad es inmensa.
    En boca es ácida y pendiente de asentarse. Con esa fina estructura y armonía no tendrá problema alguno.
