Best value of tasting was the Champalou Vouvray,but the followed by the Epsilon Shiraz was an extremely complex and interesting wine that is worth buying and setting aside for a year or two.

Straw-colored. Aromas of lemon blossom and minerals. Lemon essence, minerals, and slightly herbaceous palate. Slightly off dry. Very good QPR.

2005 Poppy Pinot Noir 86 Points

At $11.99 not much to quibble about here. The aromas are more interesting than the palate, promising rich berry flavors and even some violet. Flavors are much more muted, with raspberry jam predominate with a touch of earth.

Very good value grenache. Garnet in color, with a a dusty garrigue note among the berries. Very nicely done. Not as austere as most grenache. 13.5 % alc/vol

2005 Epsilon Shiraz 92 Points

Fantastic young shiraz. Inky purple in color. Round, mouth-coating flavors of berry and spice. Will be great to see how this improves.
