Chanoch hosts very generously. Always.
However the wines aren't opened enough time prior to consuming, considering the specific wines...
We were five, enjoying the good company and excellent food along the wines, the last one being the best of all.
2004 Prunotto Barolo Bussia 85 Points
Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo
dark opaque red-black
hardly any typical aroma of this classic Barolo, only some metal-bret
the wine was closed and tight for 2 hours and hard to hard to enjoy
it opened a bit after 3 hours
this wine must be opened 12 if not 24 hours prior to consuming

2004 Louis Latour Corton Domaine Latour 87 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru
dark transparent red-brown
subtle fruity-floral-earthy aroma of what should be a great wine from an average vintage - but actually below expectations
medium bodied, soft round tannins, too soft even, mild fruity flavours with earthy notes,
again somewhat a disappointment.
but went along ok with cold cuts and quality cheese.

2001 Poderi Luigi Einaudi Barolo Cannubi 90 Points
Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo
dark red-brown
classic quality Barolo fruity-earthy aroma, though still tight
medium-full bodied, fine firm tannins, well balanced, excellent harmony, good structure, fine complexity, still tight and closed since the wine wasn't opened well before consuming.
This is an excellent wine, that requires prior opening!
