a nice assortment of wines to go with a lot of food! Started with a 2001 JJ Christoffel Erben Urziger Wurzgarten Reisling Spatelese (mostly before dinner), and continued to a 1999 Zind Humbricht Pinot Gris (with salad and gnocchi with roasted vegetables and goat cheese), then a 2000 Lafond Santa Ynez Valley Pinot Noit (with yellowtail topped with sauteed mushrooms), followd by Core Hard Core 2002 (with an assortment of cheeses) and finally a Heller Estate Merlot Port with a chocolate cake layered with ganache cream, covered in chocolate ganache and truffles.
1999 Zind-Humbrecht Pinot Gris Rotenberg 93 Points
France, Alsace
