Fairly dark yellow. A lot of apples, some pineapple and nutty flavors in the bouquet. On the palate apples again, apple bitterness as well. Also some melon. Concentrated wine, even a bit fat, which gives it a soft mouth feel. There is some acidity, but the wine lacks real freshness.
Cherries and some spiciness in the bouquet, also some earthiness and fruit yoghurt. On the palate minerals, primary cherries and raspberries as well as spiciness. Drying in the finish. High acidity. In fact the wine is fairly supple and friendly, but there is no finesse at all.
Clear purple red. Creamy cherry yoghurt in the bouquet. A supple start followed by sharp tart cherry acidity and quite much bitterness. Overall a sourish wine with a short finish.
Creamy cherry yoghurt in the bouquet as well as some flowers. On the palate red currants and sour cherries as well as some minerals. A bit drying in the finish.
In the bouquet vegetal and green herbs impressions as well as some licorice. Juicy start with cherries and raspberries, some bitterness and drying tannin. Also some white pepper. Firm acidity. Medium length.
At first a touch of barnyard in the bouquet which blew off, then raspberries. On the palate a juicy start with red fruits and ok soft acidity. Some lactic impressions and minerals. Soft tannin. A friendly and elegant wine, but some heat in the finish.
Cherries, fruit yoghurt and granite in the bouquet. Slightly sweet start, licorice, red cherries and unripe blackberries, a bit creamy and sticky tannin. Full bodied and juicy wine.
Friendly bouquet with creamy red fruits. On the palate cherries, raspberry and some strawberry and a bit greenish. Cherry bitterness and a bit sticky tannin. See also previous note.
Bouquet with depth; earthiness, licorice and a touch of barnyard. On the palate cherries and raspberries, minerals, metal, some sweetness and soft tannin. A juicy wine with some length.
Deep dark Bordeaux red color with a carmine rim. Intense bouquet with cassis, leather, sweet spices, licorice and cedar. On the palate a firm amount of sweetness, cassis and other ripe black berry fruits, blood, sweet spices, some chocolate and good acidity. Soft tannin. The wine was surprisingly mature for a 2004. Later we heard that from release until 2011 the wine has been stored too warm most of the year.
