Aromatic, balanced nose, good spice, red fruit; palate has ripe red fruit, medium-plus alcohol, slight heat, definitely Californian; medium finish. The nose is quite nice, but the palate falls into a bit of a ripeness trap. I'm curious about whether the single vineyards are better. 89-90
