Flight 1 (2 Notes)

  • 1973 Pétrus 93 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Pomerol

opened, decanted (probably shouldn't have) and served. wonderful classic sweet nose, maybe more left bank than one would expect. first pour drank beautifully but slowly fading after an hour or so.

    France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Pomerol

Decanted for 30mins. gorgeous aromas that's unmistakable Lafleur. still very robust. an absolute revelation!

Flight 2 (2 Notes)

  • 1919 Château Cheval Blanc 90 Points

France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru

ex chateau bottle. in decanter for an hour (although not necessary). light brick colour. lovely nose of autumn leaves and sweet earth. a little tired on the palate not surprisingly. still, one of the most memorable wines in recent MNSCs - thank you Curry!

  • 1982 Château Cheval Blanc 98 Points

France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru

decanted for an hour. utterly gorgeous and irresistible. perhaps more rachel weisz than scarlett now, but who would say no?
