Great celebration, had the private room at El Paseo for the night. Started with Prosecco and apetizers, then seated and enjoyed Split Pea pureed soup with curry and creme fraiche, salad with chevre, filet with green pepper sauce (or halibat gratinee), then finished with deep fudge-chocolate gateau

Served this wine throughout the evening; each was decanted and the herbal nose noted before was not an issue. Great structure and depth, wonderful balance. Complemented the Lynch Bages enjoyed the evening before. Our group finished the entire case, amazingly little bottle variation; 1 of the 12 bottle seemed flat-footed, not corked but simply closed up compared to the rest of the case.
