France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges
Tasting, brief note. Just downslope from Les Porrets Saint-Georges. Mostly red fruit, which didn't come across as particularly "central NSG" to me. Overall nicely elegant with good old vine concentration. Tasty now.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
Tasting, brief note. A small step up over NSG Brulees (Villages). Slightly more black fruit along with red, still nicely balanced and overall elegant. Good+ length.
Tasting, brief note. All red cherry and berry aromas and flavors with good structure and balance. Moderate length. From 2 parcels on the north and south sides of the village, both near the road.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
Tasting, brief note. Very elegant and nicely textured. All red fruit. Starts off forward and easy, finishes with more concentration and power. Very good. From 3 parcels including Feusselottes, Grands Murs and Chabiots, so entirely from the southern Musigny/ Amoureuses side of the Village.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
Tasting, brief note. Black and red cherry with good meaty character and good concentration. Has an intense old vine character, while also slightly backward. A clear step up vs the Clos Prieur just tasted, as well as the Champeaux tasted last year.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Tasting, brief note. Apple and pear throughout that starts out forward and fruit-driven, then finishes leaner, racier and nicely elegant and minerally.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Tasting, brief note. Slightly reduced today. Burly fruit with good concentration and power, just less textural refinement than I'd prefer. Good for the near-term.
Tasting, brief note. Unfamiliar with the producer, but very pleased with the wine.Floral and charming spice start with moderately ripe apple. good concentration and depth on palate with very good length. This is a vineyard I often like, so have now found a new producer to enjoy. Good now.
