Light golden colour. Apple, slate, celery and spice. Quite restrained on the palate in terms of ripeness, there is good clarity through the mid-palate. Tapers off a little toward the finish. Don't think I'd leave this to age over the long term, but good now.
AP #03. Floral, pear, mandarin, smoke and orange. Pure and precise, clean with very well balanced acidity. In the classic Egon Muller style, this is really lovely drinking early and should age very well.
Golden colour. Orange, herb, spice, honey and toast. Palate is very good, the sweetness and brightness of the fruit shine through. Carries well. In a good spot for drinking now, not exactly fading but feels like this is at the right point to drink.
France, Loire Valley, Anjou-Saumur, Savennières-Coulée de Serrant
Woody, orange, smoke, flint and ginger - plenty going on with the nose. The palate has good verve even with the punchy oxidative notes. Medium length. Good but falls behind a couple of other bottles of this that I've had.
Strawberry and stalk, meat and rhubarb. Light body, a little tart and a little bit lacking in interest. Decent but didn't really do anything for me tonight.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
Cherry, smoke, red berries and roses. Good lift on the nose and the fruit is really pretty, even with this the structure is impressive and it feels really well balanced. Great stuff.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
Caramel oak, spice and redcurrant. The palate sits heavily and fades out slightly early. Lacks in class and poise. Meh for now and I don't know if this will blossom or get worse.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin
Graphite, cherry, earth and spice. Palate has plenty of earthy fruit and good structure. Feels really well composed. Balanced and young, with potential for plenty more.
Blind. Florals with violets and rose, chocolate, ash, mint and vanilla. The palate has opulent fruit, there is a boldness but also plenty of oak based structure. Good length and can certainly use more time before looking at it again.
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Meart, earth, pepperoni and some bretty band-aid. The palate is fairly soft, with medium depth and length. The brett overshadows things a bit, but it is decent enough drinking.
Ash, toast, cherry, pencil and raspberry. Sweetly fruited palate, there is some good spice and a bright lift on the finish. A little less textually interesting than the 2010 but still very fine.
Ash, tar, cherry and redcurrant. Some sweet fruits lend richness to the palate. Good flow and drinkability now, not one for the very very long term probably.
Blood, chocolate, charcoal, brick and raspberry. Full power on the palate, this has a great mix of weight, texture and tannins. Intense and the brightness of the fruit still holds up against the structure. A notch up on the Quintarelli on all levels really.
Apricot, pear, sherry and rose petals. There is plenty of sweetness and a pleasant nuttiness on the palate. Really nice flavour and balance. Medium length. Has interest and was a good finish to the night.

Orange, rose, herb and white florals. A touch of sweetness on the palate. Medium length, the palate not quite living up to the interest of the nose.
