Fun event as usual with a good group of people. The tasting menu had some odd choices to pair with bordeaux, but chalk that up to lack of experience on the part of the organizer.
Overall impressions were that while many wines showed very well, I'm just not that knocked out by bordeaux in most cases. This tasting certainly improved my skeptical opinion of LLC, but worsened my opinion of Angelus which was roundly outshown in my opinion.

Nice and rich yellow fruit on the palate, but still painfully young and tight IMHO.

2003 Château Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc 90 Points

Nice enough with rich briary yellow fruit but some bitterness too. Nothing special here.
